Hello. I’m Carla, a freelance food photographer, food stylist, and recipe developer from Pittsburgh, PA who specializes in recipes for home cooks and bakers. All recipes are developed and tested multiple times to ensure they can be recreated successfully in a home kitchen without any doubt. I then style, shoot, and write the recipes for everyone to enjoy.
I have my Certificate in Culinary Arts, which means I understand the foundational techniques used in cooking and baking. These techniques ensure anybody making my recipes produces great results every time. I also have my Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia with an emphasis in video and photography, which means I can customize the photos to match whatever style you want to reflect your brand’s message.
My knowledge and expertise comes from over 10 years of playing, experimenting, and learning in my kitchen, which you can see documented on my food blog as well as the recipes I’ve made for clients. I’ve been shooting photography for as long as I can remember, ranging from a disposable camera on childhood field trips to my first point and shoot camera for vacation to buying my first DSLR for food photography. To keep up with the latest styling trends, I read food magazines and attend photography workshops from renown food photographers and stylists.
My goal is to deliver exceptionally high quality content you want to promote your brand while giving you the most value for your budget. Everything you see on my portfolio have been developed, shot, styled, and edited by me unless otherwise noted. That means instead of hiring and paying multiple freelancers, you only need to work with me directly to get your project done, streamlining communication and staying within your budget.
Most of my work is done remotely, so I can work with you anywhere in the world. I’m also open to working locally in the Pittsburgh area.
